She was a life time resident of Chattanooga and a Class of 1948 City High School graduate.
Mrs. Dixon was the long time manager of the Hallmark store at Northgate Mall. June was a member of Ashland Terrace Christian Church where she was active as a Deacon and volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Earl Dixon; her father, Elijah (Jack) Holden; her mother, Helen Lenore Hinton; her sister, Helen Juanita Stovall; and her brother, Carl A. Sherrod.
June is survived by her daughter, Kelly Dixon Dymek, of Chattanooga; her son, Charles “Chuck” Sim (Phyllis) Dixon of Homosassa, Florida; 3 granddaughters, Jacqueline Dixon, of Inverness, Florida, Caroline Dixon of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Helen Dymek of Atlanta, Georgia; niece, Susan Magerman, of Niceville, Florida; and cousin, Peggy Fuller, of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home- North, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 2, 2024, with Dr. Carroll Wallace officiating. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday evening July 1, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and from 10:00 until service time on Tuesday at North Chapel.
