Janet Renee Bentley Brotherton

Janet Renee Bentley Brotherton, 62, of Chickamauga, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord on December 23, 2019 at her home as she was surrounded by her family. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 18, 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvel Richard Bentley and Nina Faye Goza Bentley.

Survivors include her son Chad Brotherton (Rock Spring, Ga), daughter Christi Simpson (Chickamauga, Ga), brother and sister in law, Ricky and Carol Bentley of Chickamauga, grandchildren Joshua Brotherton and Anna Brotherton (Rock Spring), Ashli Brotherton (Chickamauga), great grandchildren Aiden and Connor Franks of Chickamauga, niece and nephew Scott (Laura) Bentley and Kim Gray (Chickamauga), aunt Barbara Stancil (Hixson), several cousins, and many beloved friends.

She was a blessing to all who knew her. Her kindness, compassion, faith, joy, and laughter illuminated throughout her. Her family and her faith was a huge part of her life and she trusted in her Lord completely. By profession, she was a nurse and touched many lives during her career. She loved unconditionally, accepted people without question, and poured herself generously into everyone she met. She will be deeply missed while she spends a joyful eternity with her Lord.

Receiving of friends will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 4 pm to 7 pm and again on Saturday, December 28, 2019 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 3:30 pm with Pastor Mark Gregory officiating. Burial will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
