Janis Lynne Davenport, 79, of Soddy Daisy died Monday, November 1, 2021 in a local hospital. She was born September 18, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lynwood and Martha Green. A daughter, Jeanna Patterson and a brother, Lynwood Green, Jr., preceded her in death.
Mrs. Davenport was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her many friends.
Mrs. was Davenport a faithful member of Red Bank Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jake Davenport, daughter, Kim (Don) Lepard, grandchildren, Dr. Jacob (Dr. Morgan Lepard) Lepard, Chanlyr (Reid) Austin, and Faith Patterson, great grandchildren, Madison Lepard, Emery Lepard, and Christian Lepard and a son-in-law, Doug Patterson.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 Friday, November 5 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Saturday, November 6 at the Red Bank Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Gardner and Dr. Sam Greer officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
