My father was 52 years old when he passed away on August 12th, 2021 at 11:47 p.m.
He worked as a welder with LMS for over 20 years. He came into this country as an immigrant from San Pedro Sula, Honduras where both of his parents lived. He was only a teenager when he came into the United States seeking the American Dream.
He had a daughter, Lizbeth Ramos, and also a son Darlan Calix.
He was a very prideful man. He could stand up to the world as if he was invincible. He always wore his heart on his sleeves. No matter what the situation he was, always willing to help anyone. This man could pull 1,000 jokes out of the air so that he could make you smile. His smile shined bright like a full moon. No matter what he was doing or where he was, his smile could be seen from outer space. He did not allow anyone to see his pain. He never wanted to be a burden. I hope he can see down from the sky and see how much he was loved. He was loved by many people from UPS in Alabama and throughout Tennessee. I hope he can see down from Heaven how many smiles he created and how many hearts he has touched. Where ever he may be, he is the sun that lights the path for me. He is the moonlight that brightens the darkest skies.
