Jean Sneed Cook, 95, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. Jean was born on October 25, 1930 in Delano, Tennessee. She lived in Chattanooga for over 70 years. She was an Avon representative for over 20 years and was a longtime member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cook; parents, William and Eva Sneed; sisters, Wilma Calhoun and Betty Firestone; and brother, Wayne Sneed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael (Belinda) Cook of Nolensville, TN; daughter, Sharon Simmons of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) Williams, Bryan (Leslie) Cook, Kara (Matthew) Dodd; sister, Dorothy Nelson; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 1-3 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. A graveside service will follow at 3 pm in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Officiated by Pastor Roger DeHart
