John was born January 9, 1929 in Decatur, Alabama and was a 70 year resident of the Falling Water Community. He served in the US Navy and he retired from DuPont after a 35 year career there.
He worshiped at Falling Water Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, and also served on many committees through the years alongside some of his best friends. He was proud he lived in the Falling Water community and he loved his neighbors and the street he lived on.
Dad loved our Family with all his heart but the Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were his blessings straight from heaven.

Our family would like to thank his devoted caregivers, who made it possible for him to remain in his home. There have been several throughout the last 5 years but the most recent are- Donna, Joyce, Dorothy, Ivan, and Russ. Your dedication to Dad was a blessing to our family.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent in memory to the Cameron Bean Memorial Inc., 2236 Driftwood Rd., Soddy Daisy, TN 37379, or if you would rather- Because it was his favorite past time, go work in your yard, and mow the grass!
