Helen was born in Chattanooga and was a 1965 graduate of Red Bank High School. She received her nursing degree from Georgia Baptist Nursing School. Helen retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Edith Parrott of Chattanooga.
Helen is survived by her sons, Chris Butler, Stephen Butler and Michael Butler; grandchildren, Stephen (Morgen) Butler and Kayla Butler; siblings, Joe Parrott, Jr. and Barbara Benedicks; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 3 pm on Sunday, March 16, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 3 pm on Sunday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
