Ms. Kathryne St Clair Bartlett

Kathryne St. Clair Bartlett, 85, died on Thursday, February 23, 2012. She was a longtime resident of Signal Mountain, Tennessee. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline St. Clair of Chattanooga. Kat graduated from Chattanooga High School and from the University of Chattanooga with a degree in Geology. At UC, she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and maintained several lifelong friendships with her sorority sisters. She was teacher at Bachman Elementary where she taught second grade for 27 years. She truly enjoyed teaching and cherished seeing her students as they went on to live their lives.

Kat was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Douglas St. Clair of Chattanooga, as well as Robert Bartlett.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Sanders and her husband, Jim; her son, David Bartlett and his wife, Sallie; her grandchildren: Chris (Laura) Sanders, Kate Sanders, Laura (Seth) Grier and Meg (Steven) Hommel, all of Chattanooga. She is also survived by great grandchildren Ashlynn, Justice, Riley and Hannah and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the North Chapel.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26 at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
