Landon Faulkner, born September 13, 2001, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Johnny Chad Faulkner and the late Kristal Nicole Faulkner, passed away on April 10 at 10:26 a.m., succumbing to injuries sustained in the line of duty.
Landon was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and a true public servant. He was a faithful servant of Christ and lived his life with purpose, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others. Above all, Landon was a family man who loved deeply and gave his whole heart to those closest to him.
He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted wife, Megan Faulkner; his cherished children, Malachi (10), Breylee (9), Mia (6), and Lillee (18 months); his loving father and stepmother, Chad and Jeanna Faulkner; his brother and sister-in-law, Logan and Grace Faulkner; his sister, Mattie Faulkner Dyer, and Draven Dyer; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his extended family, including his special aunt, Kathy Drummer (Larry Drummer); his in-laws, Mike Fults and Jeria, Christie and James Meeks; his brother in law Logan Fults, sister in law Gracie Fults (and significant other Colton Summers), sister in law Isabella Fults, and sister in law Victoria Pigg (and her husband Hunter Pigg).
Landon was preceded in death by his mother, Kristal Nicole Faulkner grandparents, Johnny Kenneth Faulkner and Yvonne Chadwell Faulkner, and his uncle, Jimmy Householder.
He is further survived by uncles Jerry and Laura Chadwell; Gregory Kenneth Faulkner; aunt Stephanie Faulkner Davis; his favorite aunt, Elizabeth “Libby” Chadwell Faulkner; and his special cousin, Jeremy Householder. Landon also shared a special brotherhood with Jerry Green, Mason Meeks, and Carrter Roberts.
Landon’s commitment to service began early. His faithful work history started with the Knoxville Police Department Explorer Program in 2017. He went on to serve as a corrections officer with the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office in 2019, before beginning his law enforcement career there in 2021. In 2022, he joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, where he found his calling and proudly served his community.
Landon gave the ultimate sacrifice doing what he loved—serving and protecting others as a deputy sheriff. Even in passing, his selflessness continued, as he gave the gift of life through organ donation, allowing others to live on through him. His legacy of courage, service, and love will never be forgotten.
