She was employed and retired from Dixie Yarns, Inc. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Lupton Drive Baptist Church. She was an avid Tennessee Vols fan.
Joyce will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph H. Morton; two daughters, Cricket (Rob) Nelson, Tina (Bryan) Jones; two sons, Joe Morton Jr. and Jeff (Kristi) Morton; grandchildren Savannah Nelson, Haley (Luke) Harvey, and Andrew (Morgan) Morton; and great-grandchildren, Finley Morton and Anderson Morton.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home – North, 5401 Highway 153 Hixson, TN 37343. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Maynard Hicks officiating. Family and friends will then proceed to Hamilton Memorial Gardens for the committal service.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
