Lorene Goodner

Lorene was born in Birchwood and has lived most her life in the Harrison area. She was a devoted faithful member at Bayside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon Goodner; son-in-law, John “Steven” Trewhella; parents, Luther and Diora Morrow and 10 siblings.

Lorene is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Terrie Dolores (Larry) Green of Beaumont, TX, Rebecca (Ephrian) Tlapak of Germany, Teresa Trewhella of Sale Creek, TN and Kellie (Robert) Smith of Birchwood, TN; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and her last surviving sister, Beulah Ann Gentry of Jacksonville, NC; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday and 12 to 1 pm on Wednesday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Lorene’s life will follow at 1 pm on Wednesday at the North Chapel with Reverend Grady Cooper and Reverend John Trewhella officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Jared Williams, Justin Schultz, Joseph and Cody Gregg, and Jerry and Lee Hamrick serving as pallbearers.
