She was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church and had played piano and organ for numerous churches in the Chattanooga area.
Her husband, Floyd H. Smith and brother, Ron Farris preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Gene (Sunny) Smith of Goose Creek, South Carolina; Mary Elizabeth (Steven) Knight of Lookout Mountain, Georgia; Frank Smith of Hixson; Kathy (Steve) Barnett of Lookout Mountain, Georgia; brother, Charles (Nancy) Farris of Bledsoe County, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the North Chapel with Rev. Ed Gravett officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tennessee.
