Margie Marie Green

Margie was born May 26, 1928 in Sale Creek, Tennessee. Her family relocated to Pikeville in the late 1930 s due to the building of Chickamauga Dam. Margie married Ulys Haskell Green and lived much of her adult life in Sparta, Tennessee. Pursuing a career in healthcare, she dedicated her life to caring for others-both people and animals. She enjoyed working in her gardens and doing needlework.

Margie was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Bear Cove Baptist Church.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband Ulys Haskell Green; parents Walter and Ada Cunningham Burton and three siblings

Margie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda (Jerome) England; grandson Evan England; granddaughter Mallory England all of Jasper, Tennessee; brother Walter Burton, Jr of Pikeville, Tennessee .

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 2- 6 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel and Monday, January 27 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 12- 2 pm central time

Funeral service for Margie will be conducted at 2pm on Monday, January 27 , 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Sparta, Tennessee

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery
