She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert Pixler, and daughter Barbara Cummings.
She was born and raised in Rockford, IL and a resident of Signal Mtn. since 1960.
The Lord was the center of her life. She served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the church choir and other church activities. She received the lifetime membership award at the Signal Mtn. Presbyterian Church where she was a member.
She was a kind and loving person who won people over with her beautiful smile and giving heart. Her love for the Lord was immeasurable. Those who were blessed to know her will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Johnson, of Palatine, Il, daughters Patricia Pixler of Signal Mtn, and Michele “Missy” Daniel of Franklin, TN, grandsons Ryan and Robert Daniel of Franklin, TN and Willie Cummings of Chattanooga and granddaughter Sarah Daniel of Franklin, TN.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm, January 3, 2012, at Signal Mtn. Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Signal Mtn. Presbyterian Church.
