She was a woman of faith who was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and her Faith Sunday School Class. Marlene worked many jobs, notably as a medical assistant, but her primary occupation was being a mother of four and a devoted wife to husband, Dwain, since 1956. The Eberharts were very involved in the Red Bank community, but they also loved traveling all across the States and especially enjoyed their 50th anniversary cruise with the entire family.
Whether volunteering at the Ronald McDonald Family Room, making hospital visits, phone calls or preparing food, she could always be found working behind the scenes showing her faith through service to others. Marlene enjoyed spending time with her long-time girlfriends playing cards or taking trips, but what she loved most was gathering her family together for any occasion. These times were spent eating too much, playing whiffle ball, watching Tennessee football or women’s basketball but always with much laughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwain Eberhart, and her daughter, Dawn Manka.
Survivors include sons David (Janet) Eberhart, Danny Eberhart, and Doug Eberhart; son-in-law, Monte Manka; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
