She was a graduate of Red Bank High School and worked in the auditing department of Interstate Life Insurance Company. Martha was a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church and a former member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Cunningham, Sr.
Martha is survived by her sons, John (Ann) Cunningham, Jr. of Cleveland, TN, and Mark (Judy) Cunningham of Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Gracie Cunningham (Tim) Pflug and their children, Carrie and Max Pflug; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to Woodland Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 6735 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, July 2, and 9 to 10 am on Monday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Services for Martha will follow at 10:00 am on Monday, July 3, at the North Chapel with her nephew Reverend Cloyd Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
