She was a graduate of Central High School. Mary worked at Chattanooga Medicine Company (Chattem) as a bookkeeper until she retired. She was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church. She liked to travel, and also going to Senior Group, the Homemakers Club, and Quilters Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelby B. and Laura Broome Baysden; her brothers, Robert S. Baysden, and John Raymond Baysden; and sister in law, Helen Wilkes Baysden.
Survivors include her niece, Cynthia B. (Henry) Crabtree.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Rev. Garrett Reagan officiating. Interment will be held in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from, 11:00 AM until service time at North Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Lookout Valley Baptist Church.
