Mary Ruth Billingsley Murphy

She was born in Cleveland, TN, to the late Lucy and Henry Billingsley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, “Lonnie” Murphy and her two sons, David and Mark; two grandson, Brian and Lex.

Mary Ruth is survived by her son, Michael (Patsy) Murphy; daughter, Marilyn Murphy; 6 grandchildren; Michele Holifield, John David and Bevin Pirtle, Major, Mark, and Mary Murphy; 5 great grandchildren; special friend, Gayle and Jon Luecke; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm on Saturday, August 28, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A graveside service for Mary Ruth will follow at 2 pm on Saturday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with T. J. Avans officiating.

The family would like to thank the care givers at Mary and Martha, and Tapestry Hospice.
