She created a home where everyone felt welcome. She loved movies, days at the beach and poolside (but do NOT get her hair wet), and any chance to sit in the sunshine. Her happiest moments were those spent hosting family gatherings, filling her home with laughter and warmth.
She is survived by her father Joe B. Hill Sr. and brother Joe B. Hill Jr. along with her devoted husband, Steve, who cared for her with unwavering love and tenderness. She was a cherished mother to her son, Bartley (Kimberlin Lacy), and her daughter, Alex (Matt Spickard), and the proud gramma of Maisie Grace and Charlie Joe, who lit up her world.
To her family, Monequa was a source of steady love; to her friends, a gentle and generous presence; and to all who knew her, a reminder of how deeply a single life can touch others.
Her family holds her memory close and invites all who loved her to join in honoring and celebrating her life.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15th from 12-1 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The Celebration of Life service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
