Nancy was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1957 and worked for Interstate Life Insurance for 22 years. She then worked for the U.S. District Court Clerk’s Office for another 22 years. She retired in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Inez Hixon.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Sam Anderson; two sisters, Mary Frances Fleming and Norma Jean Kilby (Fred); and a host of cousins and friends.
Nancy and Sam are active members of First Baptist Church Soddy Daisy and the Koinonea Sunday School Class.
The funeral will be at 3:00 pm on Friday September 3, 2021 at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson, with Rev. Brandon Johns officiating. Rev. Johns will be assisted by Dr. Daniel McMillan and Rev. James C. Anderson. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral on Friday (1-3 pm).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church Soddy Daisy building fund or to a favorite charity.
