Mrs. Nilda Torres, 83, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 3, 2016. Nilda was born in St Croix, US Virgin Islands on July 18, 1932 to the late Cyril and Ana Lindquist. She was formerly of Hixson, TN where she was a member of St Jude Catholic Church. She moved to Lawrenceville, GA in 1988 where she was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. Most of all, she had a deep and true love for God. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Carmen and Anna, and one brother, Karl. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Saul Torres; daughters, Judith Mazza (Frank) and Lynda Pritchett (Anthony); eight grandchildren, Jesse Feller, Cody Pritchett, Dylan Pritchett, Logan Pritchett (Lauren), Kristin Mazza, Blaine Pritchett, Andrew Mazza and Ana Grace Pritchett; sister, Jacqueline Caldwell; brother, Christian Lindquist; brother, Albert Lindquist; sister, Clara Lindquist; brother-in-law, David Torres; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 7th at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 Hwy 153. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
