Reba Jackson Coffelt

Reba Jackson Coffelt, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 30, 2025, at the age of 88. Reba was born on December 13, 1936, in Cookeville, Tennessee, to Dibrell and Mattie Jackson. She was one of nine children.

Reba married David Coffelt in 1957, and together they raised four children. She cherished her trips to Panama City Beach and loved traveling with her sister to gospel music concerts. Her career spanned 26 years at Walmart, a job she loved dearly.

Reba had a passion for listening to The Gaither Vocal Band and The McKameys. She possessed a remarkable green thumb and could grow anything, spending countless joyful hours in her flower garden. She attended Oak Street Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy.

Reba is preceded in death by her husband, David Coffelt; children, Paul Coffelt and Mike Coffelt; grandson, George Michael Coffelt; parents, Dibrell and Mattie Jackson; and brothers, Odell Jackson, Billy Jackson, Melvin Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Royce Jackson, and Willis Jackson.

Here to continue Reba's legacy are her daughter, Teresa Coffelt Weeks; son, Robert (Pam) Coffelt; grandsons, Dylan Weeks and David Coffelt; great-grandchildren, Eric Weeks and Jordan Weeks; sister, Bettie Sue Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family extends special thanks to Ronnie Gossett, the caregivers, and the staff of Dayton's Hospice of Chattanooga for their compassionate care of Reba.

A visitation will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, located at 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343, on December 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on December 5, 2025, starting at 9:30 am.

The committal service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery, located at 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404, on December 5, 2025, at 11:00 am.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
