He was born in Erie, PA on December 13, 1944 and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. He will forever be remembered for his ability to light up the room with his wonderful sense of humor and pranks, his need to always be active, looking out for others, and putting others needs before his own. He was a loving and wonderful father, especially to his daughter who will always be his baby girl.
Richard served in the Army’s Special intelligence and he retired from the US Department of Labor. He previously worked at JC Penny’s and upon his death he was employed at Enterprise Car Rental.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Frances Ruth Sedor, his Father, John Sedor, and his son, James Scarpelli.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Cynthia Sedor and his forever loved daughter, Sarah Sedor, his loved sons, Jon Sedor (Laurie) and Tom Scarpelli (Demaris); his grandchildren Damon Sedor, Brayden Sedor, Jaxon Sedor, Hunter Scarpelli, Ryan Scarpelli, DeAnna Scarpelli, Alyssa Scarpelli, Nik Scarpelli, Austin Durham, Andrew Durham, Makayla Ghosin, Morgan Ghosin, Mya Ghosin, and his great grandson, Ryder Scarpelli.
John 14: 1 – 2, “let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, January 14th at 2 pm at Living Faith Church, located
at 5755 Cassandra Smith Road, Hixson, TN 37343 with Pastor Michael Lindon officiating.
