Robert Crumbliss Farrar teed off on his final round on this earth on May 4, 2018 and is under par looking to press. Bobby was born and raised in Chattanooga and attended City High School on an irregular basis when the Cherokee Boulevard Krystal was not calling. He had a lifetime love of playing golf with friends and a few holes in one to remember. When his name came up in conversation anywhere in Chattanooga someone in the room invariably knew Bobby. It was humbling to be asked “Are you Bobby Farrar’s brother(sister)?”, but it is an ongoing and lasting tribute to him and to who he was to his friends, of which there are many. Several places on this earth past and present – Yesterdays, Pulmonaire, Beau Rivage, Mike’s Hole in the Wall, and multiple golf courses to name a few - will miss him as much as his family and friends will, but he will not be forgotten there or much anywhere else. He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Farrar, grandparents Waymon and Mildred Farrar and Raleigh and Vera Crumbliss. He is survived by his mother, Constance Crumbliss Farrar, brother James C. Farrar, Jr. (Ione), sisters Elizabeth Nichols and Carol Norton (Brett), nephews Andrew Farrar, Ben Norton and Jack Norton, niece Katherine Diliberto, and aunt Sue Farrar. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Rivermont Presbyterian Church from 5:30 to 6:30 pm with a Celebration of Life Service following immediately after at 6:30 pm with Rev. Dr. Clay Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers or donations, please do something fun with friends and remember Bobby while you are doing it or buy a round at Mike’s Hole in the Wall. Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tennessee 37343.
