Birchwood, she lived many years in Washington State before returning to this area. Ruth was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William G. and Willie Myrtle Roark; a twin brother, Reuel; brother W.G. (Jr) and sisters, Trudy and Ola Mae.
Survivors include sisters, Marleita Carmicheal, Clara Folkner and Addie Gross and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held on Sunday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
