

Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, George Carl Ferrell, her parents Richard and Martha (Bea) Stubblefield, and her sister Julia Skinner.
Sue was born and raised in Hartsville, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Chattanooga earning a degree in History. She retired from the Chattanooga City School System where she taught American History and Special Education at Brainerd High School and Chattanooga City High School.
After retiring she started an exercise class at Red Bank United Methodist Church where she and Carl were active members for over 60 years. They were members of the Shaw Murray Sunday School Class. Sue enjoyed playing Bridge, entertaining her friends and family, and rug hooking.
Sue is survived by two sons, Richard William (Mary Lynn) Ferrell and John Daniel (Deloris) Ferrell; four grandchildren, Chris (Ashley) Ferrell, Ashley (Brian) Williams, Daniel Ferrell, and Kelly (Jessica) Ferrell; four great grandchildren, Alexus Ferrell, Mary Beth Williams, Kathryn Williams, and Ella Ferrell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Red Bank United Methodist Church.
Family and friends will gather for a graveside service at Chattanooga Memorial Park on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Ken Sauer officiating.
