
A celebration of the life of Tyler J. Smith will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Parkway Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Davis officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga, TN.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Harley Evans, Jordan Robert Smith, Ronnie Pierce, Lucas Stewart, Jefferey Harris and James Robert Chapin.
Tyler was an outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing and target practice with his gun, killing poisonous snakes and riding his go-cart. He loved all his pets that included a dog, cat, guinea pig, lizard and two turtles. He was an avid sports fan that loved football, baseball, soccer, basketball and was an accelerated honor student while at Riverside Middle School and Greenbrier High School. Tyler loved his family and his Granny and he accepted Jesus at Wonder Book Camp in Birmingham, AL. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and was very active with the youth program. Tyler was an eye donor, so that someone in need would be able to see God's beautiful creation.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Barbara Chapin Smith; three brothers, Nathan Harley Evans, Jordan Robert Smith and Jonathan Tyler Smith; one sister, Kayla Mae Grace Smith; maternal grandparents, Gaillaird Robert Chapin and Brenda Whitt Pierce of Chattanooga, TN.; step-father, Ronnie Pierce of Chattanooga, TN. paternal grandparent, Joyce Smith of Harriston, TN.; great grandmother, Betty Smith of Brownsboro, AL. and other family members, Makayla Hembree, Mark Hembree, Michael Hembree and John Hembree.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Parkway Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday October 14, from 11-12 p.m. with the Funeral service to follow at Terra Vista Baptist Church, Chattanooga, TN.
