Virginia was born in Chattanooga to the late Luther and Louise Hixson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Webber N. Griffith; siblings, Alene Vandergriff, Ada Guinn and John Hixson.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Marsha McConathy; son, Wayne Griffith; grandchildren, Ginny Brown, Alma Goodman and Brent Griffith; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Friday at the North Chapel.
A celebration of life service for Virginia will be held at 10 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
