Wanda Sue Card

Wanda Sue Card, 86, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a graceful and courageous battle with dementia. Her wishes were clear. Our minds and hearts are at ease knowing that she is now in heaven with Mary and Jamie.

Wanda was born in Chattanooga on September 24, 1937. She was a mom with a huge heart, very loving and was loved by all that knew her too. She loved her family and her house was always open to anyone who wanted to stop by or needed refuge during hard times. She loved her great grandchildren to no end, and many memories were made at Mamaws’s house.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, as well as a sister, Mary Fuller, two brothers, and a grandchild Jamie Holmes.

In death, She has left many here on earth who cherish her memory. Including her daughters, Denise Peden, Stacey Barrett, and Sonya Sneed; son, Ricky Card; son-in-law, James Barrett; sister, Nancy Dixon; grandchildren, Alli Card, Layla Peden, Emily Baggett, and Hannah Hawk; great grandchildren, Destiny Harden, Travis Baggett, Oakley Nelson, Annisley and Annabelle Hawk.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
