

Born on May 1, 1946 in Brownsville, Tennessee, Wilbert was one of ten children born to the late Nelson and Maie Etta Bunch.
He accepted Christ during his early youth and joined Snipes Grove Baptist Church. Before his passing, he attended Stoney Point Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.
Wilbert earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee. He also gave 27 years of faithful service to the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Bunch; his father, Nelson Bunch; his mother, Maie Etta Bunch; his sister, Hilda Ligon; and his brother, Will Allen Bunch.
Survivors include his two sons, Anthony Christopher Bunch (Rebecca) and Eric Lamar Bunch; his two daughters, Charlotte Renae Bunch and Stacey Mietta Bunch; three granddaughters, Alexis, Imani, and Jada; sisters Catherine Jones, Minnie Alexander, Mamie D Bunch, Dorothy Tyus; brothers, James Bunch, Nelson Bunch, and Jimmie D Bunch; and very special friend and coworker, Dolly Robinson.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Stoney Point Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 27, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the North Chapel.
