Bill was a native and longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. He was a graduate of Brainerd High School and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Bill was a retired tax accountant and CPA.
He was preceded in death by his father, William G. Manies.
Bill is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Manies; step-father, Artie Denton; children, Kelly Manies (Michael) Lay and Justin (Jeni) Manies; grandchildren, Jordan and Noah Lay and Eli Manies; brothers, Gary (Linda) Manies and Jeff (Teresa) Manies; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 3 pm on Thursday, June 6 at the North Chapel.
Services for Bill will follow at 3 pm on Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Broom and Reverend Josh Bowles officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Suite 102, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
