I am so sorry that I missed the notice for Bill's passing. I would have been at the gravesite to show my respect for him. Bill was faithful in his work for Chapter 203. He always had something to say to brighten a day. Although I only met Bill about 5 years ago and haven't seen him in about 3 years, he left a lasting impression. He will be greatly missed.

Bill; was a life member of Chapter 103 of The Retired Enlisted Association.  I last talked to Bill in November making sure he received the Christmas invitation to the Chapter Christmas Dinner. The Chapter will miss him, Bill Rest in Peace.

"We considered Bill a very dear FRIEND. He was a person who, if he liked you, would give you everything he owned. If he didn't like you it was best to just stay away from him.
Bill lived for and loved his Vietnam brothers & sisters. He devoted more time and energy to and for them than a lot of people will ever know.
You will be dearly missed our FRIEND.
May God comfort your family in this time of sorrow.

Bill Frye was a great friend and a true soldier. We worked with Bill through the Vietnam Veterans Of America Chapter 203 .We did many great things for the chapter RIP Bill...Horace & Reba Hatcher

I will always remember Bill as a fine, caring man who was my hero. He sometimes had memories of his Vietnam service that made life more difficult for him but he remained brave through those struggles with the past. He honored my American history students at MTSU in Murfreesboro by sharing his experience  and brought Vietnam home for their education. I wii always remember him with love.

WE WILL MISS BILL HE HAS BEEN HELPFUL WITH CH.203 AND IT WILL BE A GREAT HONOR FOR ME TO COMMAND THE HONOR GUARD. AND LAY BILL TO REST.

Marched in a parade in Washington DC, with bill out front in his chair. He was hard to keep up with. A member of 203 and will be missed by all.  Always had his challenge coin with him.

Mr. Fry was such a sweet man. I met him while I was working in Red Bank at a bank and he would always come in smiling. He is going to be missed dearly. He was a true HERO!!

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Fry's passing (far too young)!  I was fortunate enough to know Mr. Fry from work, when I worked in Red Bank.  He always had a smile on his face, he always treated us with kindness, and he ALWAYS had a great joke or story to share, without fail every time he came in.  He was a true hero of this great country, whom he served with his whole heart, even after retiring.  God bless you all.  You all are in our prayers!

Bill was as good a friend as anyone could ask for.  He was a caring person who helped more people than we will ever know.  He was a true patriot and his heart was red, white and blue.  He loved this country and served it well.  We will miss his laughter and his smiles and his concern for his friends when they were sick or in need.  We wish he had confided in us about his illness so perhaps we could have been of some help to him.  We will always remember him. Rest in peace, dear Friend.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever. Bill was a very kind, considerate and caring person to all who knew him. He brought a ray of sunshine to all of our gatherings. He will definitely be missed but we know that he is in the loving care of God with no more pain to bear.

Bill was a very dear and special friend to our family.  He was a very caring and giving person.  Bill could always bring a smile to your face and make you laugh.  He would always end his phone call with "Get you some rest".  During the end of his illness he would always assure us he was okay and taking it one day at a time.  We will miss Bill greatly.  Bill will now have his eternal rest and peace.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I hadn't seen Billy in many years, but was fortunate enough to spend some time with him at the Reunion in July.  I then spoke with him briefly in August.  He was in excellent spirits, even though he had many health problems.  This just shows how truly fragile life is.  Neither of us expected our brief conversations to be our last.
