He was the son of the late Santos Lara Alderete and raised by the late Frank Alanis Alderete in San Antonio, TX.
At the age of 19 he joined the US Navy and served for 6 years. In 1970 he married Josephine Ramos and had 3 children, Adan Ramos Jr, (wife Maribel), daughter Maria Rodriguez (husband Osiel), and their late son Steven Ramos. Adan also had 9 grandchildren, 3 sisters, 4 brothers (1 who passed away in the early 1960’s).
Adan was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, husband, and father-in-law. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball, playing in pool tournaments, watching the Dallas Cowboy, and dancing.
Sadly, in Nov of 2023, he was diagnosed with a tumor in his ampulla and in Feb of 2024, Alzheimer’s.
Although he never completely forgot who any of us were, the struggle of that disease was very heartbreaking seeing him go through such pain and confusion.
As we are all feeling sadness in our hearts let’s rejoice that Adan has made it to the Kingdom of Paradise and is now with his late son, Steven Ramos and the many family members and friends we’ve lost along the way.
