Ms. Andrea "Queen Suga" Clemons

Ms. Andrea V. Clemons who was born on November 25, 1956 to John and Bertha Clemons in Houston, TX. Andrea was sadly taken away from her beloved family July 11, 2024 at the age of 67. She was raised in 5th ward where she attended Bruce Elementary, E. O. Smith Middle School, and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1975.

Andrea believed in earning her own money and worked at various jobs throughout her life.She was a dispatcher for Yellow Cab and later became a driver in 1982. She was a driver at METRO for over 10 years. She loved driving and loved kids so she became a school bus driver where she worked for several school districts, including Houston ISD, Aldine ISD, and finishing her career with Fort Bend ISD after 30 plus years of service. She recently retired from FBISD after 16 years, on May 31, 2024.

She was baptized at the young age of 7 years old at Second Mount Olive M.B.C. under the leadership of the late Peter Taylor, Sr. (Uncle). She later rededicated her life to First Macedonia MBC under the leadership of Pastor Eddie Lewis, Jr.

Andrea is preceded in death by her parents John and Bertha Clemons; herbrothers, Eddie Roy Lewis, Sr., Charles Lewis, Edwin Taylor, Patrick Clemons,Reginald Clemons, John H. Clemons, Jr.; her nephew, Lowell Clemons anda great-nephew T. J. Wilson , Jr.

She leaves to cherish memories her sister, Cheryl D. Clemons; herniece/daughter, Akita Clemons; her dear friend, Kenneth Houston; five sisters-in-law, Flora Colley, Doris Wilburn-Brown, Hilda Clemons, Kamala Clemons, and Cathy Clemons; seven nieces, eight nephews, eight great-nieces, and twelve great-nephews, her Fort Bend ISD family and co-workers, and a host of cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
