Annie Woods Bennett was born on January 26,1929 in New Waverly, TX to Kile and Mary Woods. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1949. On November 26, 1955, she married her high school sweetheart, Frank Bennett Jr. To this union two girls, Pamela & Yvette were born. The couple joined Sugar Valley Baptist Church in 1956. She dedicated her life to serving in church as an Usher and Sunday School Teacher. She was a devoted wife and mother. On January 2, 2023. Annie departed this life to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father (Kile), mother (Mary), sister Tyler Mae and brothers George, Henry, Kile Jr., Tom, & William, and son-in-law Malcolm Brigham. Left to cherish her life are her husband, Frank Bennett Jr., daughters Pamela Brigham and Yvette Jones; sister in laws, Faye Marie Johnson, Helen B. Guidry and Della Mae Hogan. A special acknowledgment to Mr. Leatrice Jones Jr. Grandchildren Ashlee Goree (Rashad), Angela Brigham, and Ashton Jones. Great grandchildren Evan Goree, Julienne Bass, and Emani Goree along with a host of nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
