

Anthony Joseph Lampasas (Tony) of Mont Belvieu,Texas passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Tony was the third child and arrived on July 16, 1959 to Vincent and Jean Lampasas. He attended Channelview High School and San Jacinto Jr College.
As a man of many talents and mechanical skills, Tony worked his way to become a successful diesel mechanic and worked for the Houston Fire Department and the Port of Houston. He spent much of his career as a Gantry Crane Operator at the Barbours Cut Terminal for the Port of Houston under ILA #28.
When he wasn’t on the job, he always had a wide variety of ongoing projects. He loved to build, rebuild and repair. Tony had a sharp mind and the gifted ability to fix anything. Nothing was outside his comfort zone, and he excelled at every challenge.
Tony and his family moved to Mont Belvieu 17 years ago where he planned and oversaw the completion of a multi-generational home-front where three generations could live and thrive together. All were welcome and treated like family at what came to be known as the Lampasas Compound.
Tony is survived by his parents, Vincent Jude Lampasas Sr. and Eva Jean Lampasas of Mont Belvieu, Texas. His two children; a daughter, Toni DeAnn Lampasas, a son, Nicholas Anthony Lampasas as well as his first granddaughter, Aila Ann McDaniel. Brother, Vincent Jude Lampasas Jr. and wife Ginny of Deer Park, Texas, his sister Gina Marie Lampasas-Kelley and his favorite brother-in-law, Tim Robert Kelley of Katy, Texas.
Also left to cherish his memory is his longtime companion and girlfriend Rita Jackson, and her daughters, Tristi and Tatum.
Services will be held Saturday, March 20th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale with Deacon Sam Mancusco officiating. Gravesite Rite of Committal following service.
