Arfan's journey with us ended Friday August 27, 2021. He was only 42. Arfan was a wonderful father, devoted husband, loving son and brother, loyal friend and an exceptional man. Our hearts were broken the day he left.
Arfan was born on January 29,1979 in Sydney, Australia. He was of Syrian and Polish descent. His parents decided to move to the United States and raised him in Sugarland, Texas. Arfan had an amazing energy that easily drew in so many different personalities, that would flourish into strong, lifelong friendships. He had the funniest sense of humor and could always change the dark moments into laughter.
Arfan was also graced with a quick and brilliant mind. He loved learning. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business and a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman School of Business. Arfan exceeded expectations and would continuously set the bar higher for the next challenge. He was the Market Risk Manager for The Prax Group, a British multinational independent oil refining, trading, storage, distribution and retail conglomerate. He specialized in energy trading and senior risk management.
Arfan also had an affinity for cooking exotic and fine foods. He was an excellent chef. He enjoyed crossfit and getting together with friends to play golf. Arfan had a strong interest in helping the planet and renewing the environment. He loved nature and the ocean life.
Arfan is survived by his two children, Lex and Violet, his stepdaughter, Lilly, his wife, Ana, his parents, Christina and Arfan, and his brother, Chad. Lex, Violet and Ana were Arfan's world. They were his pride and absolute joy. Arfan will be missed dearly by his family and all his friends. He left so many beautiful, fun and glorious memories.
