She was born in Hephzibah, Georgia, on May 16, 1957, to Julia Mae & George Albert Jackson. Audrey attended Boggs Academy in Keysville, Georgia. She then left Georgia to reside in Houston, Texas, to study at Texas Southern University, going to work at St. Luke’s Hospital for 13 years, then went to work and retired from METRO (Metropolitan Transit Authority).
Audrey was preceded in death by Anthony Jefferson (husband). Julia Mae& George Albert Jackson (parents). Claudette Maxwell (daughter). Keith Jackson(brother). Georgene Allen (sister).
She is survived by George Albert Jackson Jr., Anthony Wayne Jackson, Robert Lee Jackson, Torra Thomas, Benjamin Jackson, Lanell Roland & Sheila Jackson (brothers & sisters). Victoria Jefferson & Sabrina Jefferson (daughters). Tammara, Mark Anthony, Jamarcus, Brittney, Jazymn, Bryse, Taylor, Jayla, Lexx, Miracle, Adom, & Shamash (grandchildren). Valencia, Amya, Veronica, Naomi, Maurice, Mason, Bella, & Jakalon (great-grandchildren). Also, a host of nieces and nephews.
