Barbara Anne Kershner, 60, of League City, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2017. “Barbie”, as she is affectionately known by her family and friends was a life-long Houstonian and graduate of Eisenhower High School and was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Claire Meineke. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Kershner of League City, her beloved dogs and cat, Izzy, Bella and Ally, mother Joline Cummings of San Diego, CA, father Jack Nate of Austin, TX, brother Tom Nate, sister in law Irma Nate, nephew Joshua Nate of Bandera, TX, sister Julie Mould, brother in law Eric Mould of Houston, brother John Nate of Cincinnatus, NY, sister Mary Nate of Austin, and many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends around the U.S. Barbie had a long career with DHL Express and Dresser Industries and was also a member of the PCD (Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia) Foundation as well as the Second Wind Lung Transplant Association of St Louis. We will miss Barbie’s amazing bright smile and her laughter but she is now free to “swim with the dolphins” and be reunited with her dear sister Lisa in heaven.
