JoAnn is survived by her son Gerard "Jerry" Williams and wife Tamie; and her son Darrell Williams and wife Lisa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Williams; her father Benjamin Franklin Melder and her mother Nellie Turnage Melder; her brother Bennie Melder and her sister Betty Webb; her grandson Marc Williams.
She also leaves her grandchildren Brittney Lawson , Dakoda Williams and great grandchildren, Blayden Lawson,Lathan Lawson and Keaten Lawson and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
JoAnn was devoted to her family and the Catholic faith.
She was a longtime member of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Fatima where they (she and Lee) were parishioners for over 50 years.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7PM. Both at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 21 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1705 8th St, Galena Park, TX 77547. Burial will take place immediately following mass from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, TX 77023.
