Beatrice Mitchell, 74, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. She was born on April 5, 1938 in La Grange, Tx. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Mitchell and daughter, Sandra Mitchell. She is survived by her son, Dennis Mitchell and wife, Cherryl; daughter, Donna Shafer and husband, Ken; grandchildren, Brooke Garrity and husband, Tim; Kenneth Shafer II, Kevin Shafer; and great granddaughter, Abbey Drew Garrity; and numerous extended family members and friends. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. We will miss her quick wit and crazy entertaining humor that she will now be sharing with our dad for eternity. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 5-9pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2pm at Forest Park Lawndale's Family Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
