Bella Picard, 90, passed away June 4, 2012. She dedicated her life to her family and will be remembered for her gentle spirit and steadfast love. Her strength through difficult times and enduring commitment to those she loved will forever remain with her family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters- Brenda Driscoll and husband Dick, Glenda Embree, and Lila Mondragon; two grandsons- Gino Mondragon and wife Susan and Raul Mondragon; and three great grandchildren- Antonio Mondragon, Savannah Mondragon and Isabella Mondragon. She now joins her lifelong love, Gabriel Picard, as well as her parents, Clarence and Edith Hebert, and dear siblings, Eula Hebert, Bernice Savoy, Emory Hebert and Eddie Hebert.
The family is especially grateful for the loving and tender care provided by Jo Handy and Brenda Vidal and by the staff at Unlimited Care Cottages who provided immeasurable comfort and care to Mom and to the family.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday (June 6) evening at Forest Park Funeral Home at 6900 Lawndale. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 at Forest Park Family Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider doing a random act of kindness in her memory.
