Bessie Guzzetta

She passed away on 4/21/2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Guzzetta, parents, and brothers, Joe, Sam, and Jack Russo. She is survived by her children Ben and wife Madelon Guzzetta, JoMarie Crim, and Antoinette and husband James Webb, 9 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.

Bessie was a member of SS Maria del Balzo, Catholic Daughters of America, Ladies of the Sacred Heart Assoc., past member of Ladies Auxiliary of Retail Grocers of Houston.

She was a long-time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Houston. Bessie spent the majority of her life helping husband, Joe and his brother and wife, Sam & Jeanette Guzzetta operating their grocery stores in the Houston area. She had a deep love for being in the kitchen-cooking and baking.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on 4/26/11 from 5-9pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass to be held on 4/27/11 at 10a.m. presided by bishop Vincent Rizzotto at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with interment at Forest Park Lawndale following.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hearthstone at Braeswood where Joe and Bessie lived until their deaths.

Bessie Guzzetta touched many lives in wonderful ways and will be truly missed.
