Bessie Laverne Wooten, born on April 1, 1938, in Mexia, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 87. Bessie was a beloved and compassionate individual, known for her devoted, faithful, and generous spirit. She was gentle and honest, and her inspirational and kind-hearted nature touched many lives. Bessie was patient, selfless, thoughtful, and wise, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Bessie was one of twelve children, and from an early age, she demonstrated a strong faith and belief in God. Her pure-hearted and loving nature made her a second mother and grandmother to many, and she was deeply loved by her family and friends.

A devoted fan of the Houston Astros, Bessie enjoyed spending her time doing word searches, reading, and cherishing moments with her family. Her life was marked by a never-judgmental attitude, and she was always ready to offer a listening ear and a kind word to those around her.

Funeral services will be held at Earthman Resthaven, located at 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX, 77060. Visitation is scheduled for December 15, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Service from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The Committal Service will take place from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery.
