Born on January 8, 1967, he was the son of Maryann and the late Robert “Bob” Morgan. Calvin was a graduate of Jersey Village High School and earned his Bachelor Business Administration at Steven F. Austin State University.
Calvin met his soulmate, Ricardo “Ricky” Rios, in Houston, TX. They shared their life and love together for over 22 years and were married October 16, 2021.
Calvin called many places home over his lifetime; Libertyville, IL; Russell, IL; Houston, TX and most recently Midland, TX. He cherished each location dearly because of the family, friends, and fond memories he made and created throughout his time spent in each. He often reminisced about the good times and people he met along the way.
Calvin enjoyed life to his fullest and was very much a people person, was a friend to all he met and was adored by so many. He loved making people smile and laugh and did not hesitate to lend a helping hand. Calvin was an excellent cook/baker, passionate gardener and had a special talent of decorating his home meticulously for all holidays, especially Christmas. He enjoyed traveling throughout the US, Europe, and Mexico. But most of all he treasured spending time talking and texting with his mom, spoiling his fur baby Dee Dee and being the best house husband to Ricky.
He is survived by his beloved husband, Ricardo “Ricky” Rios; his dear mother, Maryann Morgan; aunt, Pricilla Cook; sisters-in-laws, Lupe Rios; Marcy (Joe) Espinoza; Rosie Neft; Irma (Jose) Sanchez; brother-in-law, Manuel Rios; several nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends.
Calvin was preceded in death by his dad, Robert “Bob” Morgan; grandparents Fred and Bertha Cook; uncle Fred “Fritz” Cook; mother and father in law, Manual Sr and Maria Rios; many aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather at Heights Funeral Home on Monday, August 8, 2022 between 10 AM and 11 AM. A memorial service will take place at 11 AM. Guests are encouraged to wear colorful attire reflective of Calvin’s vibrant spirit. As per Calvin’s wishes he will be cremated, and no internment will be conducted at this time.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.heightsfuneralhome.com for the Wilson-Rios family.
