

Carl Hamilton Cole Sr. was born July 30, 1930 in Akron Ohio to the union of Ernest Silas and Annie Elizabeth Cole. Carl was the sixth of seven children who survived childbirth. Madge (J.D) Montgomery, Eanest (Narvel) Cole, Herschel (Cora) Cole, Bruce Cole and his baby sister Muriel Davis, all who have preceded him in death. Carl accepted Christ at an early age was baptized in Akron, Ohio where he was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church until he relocated to Houston in 2009.Carl graduated from Garfield High in 1948 were he played football and participated in Track and Field exercises. Upon graduation Carl enlisted in the Air Force where he served for four years as an Airman First Class. While stationed in Okinawa He served as a High Speed Radio Operator where his job was to track "Tokyo Rose". He was honorably discharged in 1952.After returning from the Air Force he reconnected with and married the "girl across the street" Grace Meaux on August 7, 1953. To this union was born five children, Adrienne (Michael) Black, Carl (Angela) Cole, Elizabeth Cole (deceased), Kimberly (Gary) Bledsoe and Robert (Kelly) Cole.Carl worked as an electrical draftsman, a warehouse/production manager and in sales. He retired from Schrader Bellows after 30 years of dedicated service. Carl was also a long standing member of the 5th Masonic District MWPHL of Ohio where he served as Worshipful Master and Past Master, Mt. Calvary Lodge # 76; Royal Arch Chapter affiliate; Bezaleel Consistory #15, Past Potentate, Al Kaf Shrine Temple #109; OES PHA Mary Chapter #47 Sentinel; and American Legion #272 Color Guard and Financial Officer. Upon moving to Texas, he became an honorary Past Master of True Square Lodge #108, MWPHL of Texas. He was an active member of the Akron chapter of the NAACP until his health failed him He leaves to mourn his passing nine grandchildren, Robert II, Lyndsay, Morgan, Adrien, Atiya, Stefen, Steven, Jordan and Jaeden; Nine great grandchildren(Caleb, Jordyn, Jadon, Aliya, Ethan, Summer, Wyatt, Adrien Jr. and baby Jordyn) and a host of other cherished relatives and friends.
