

Carlton Harmon Wilcox, a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, was born October 23, 1931, to Elliot Ebenezer and Ola Faye Wilcox in Cherokee County, Texas. He died July 4, 2023, in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Texas, at his home at the age of 91.
He married Barbara (Bobbie) Walker Moore in Montgomery, TX, on April 29, 1950, becoming stepfather to Betty (3) and Sandra Moore(2). The family welcomed a son, James Elliot Wilcox July 6, 1952.
The family lived in Houston for many years before settling back in Bobbie’s homestead town of Montgomery to live the remainder of their years.They remained married until Bobbie’s death on June 21st, 2016, having just celebrated 66 years together.
Carlton was preceded in death by his parents, Elliot Ebenezer and Ola Faye Wilcox, his brother Coye Wilcox, his daughter Sandra Lynn Moore Pilkenton, his daughter Betty Jean Moore Gresak, and his wife Willie Barbara (Bobbie) Wilcox.
He is survived by his son James Elliot Wilcox (Rebecca) of Montgomery, grandchildren, David Pilkenton (Schai) of Montgomery, Tammy Thomas (Scott) Montgomery, Stacy Kroll (David) Montgomery, Terri Curtis (Bud) Montgomery, Lori Ashabran (Jason) Montgomery, Lisa Gresak, Conroe, James Wilcox (Jamie) Conroe, Brandon Wilcox, Montgomery, Christopher Wilcox (Maria), 18 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is survived by one nephew, Coye Dale Wilcox, as well as great and grand nieces and nephews.
Services are to be held at Rabon Chapel Church Of Christ at 11 am on July 19th, 2023. Family Visitation will be that same morning beginning at 9 am, and family will be welcoming friends beginning at 10 am. There will be a graveside service following at Copeland Chapel Cemetery In Montgomery, TX.
