

Catherine "Cat" Carpenter, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 16, 1949, in Moline, Illinois, Cat moved to Houston with her family as a child, where she would spend the rest of her life. Those who knew Cat remember her for her warmth, intelligence, and kindness. Beautiful inside and out, she touched the lives of everyone she met.
Cat had a generous heart and a welcoming presence, making those around her feel valued and at ease. She approached life with grace, strength, and determination.
Throughout her life, Cat fearlessly pursued her passion for acting, making appearances in a Clint Black music video as well as various commercials and films.
Always striving to better herself, Cat earned her bachelor's degree in her 40s, showing her determination and perseverance.
Professionally, Cat built a successful and fulfilling career in the energy sector, where she found purpose and pride in contributing to sustainable practices.
Cat had a lighthearted and adventurous spirit — always up for a road trip or other spontaneous adventure. She embraced every journey with enthusiasm and curiosity. Cat also cherished family celebrations, never missing a graduation, birthday, or milestone, always showing up with love and support.
Cat was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Walter, and her brother, David. She is survived by her sister, Antonia, and her nephews, Derek and Drew, who will miss her deeply.
