Cecil E. Corgey, 83, of Houston, Texas passed away at his home after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Edith Corgey, an infant son, his beloved stepdaughter Charlotte and sister Dorothy Corgey-Butler. After graduating from Jeff Davis High School, he retired from Goodyear after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 347 and an ordained Deacon in his church. He loved playing golf, crossword puzzles, taking cruises, traveling and hunting. He is survived by his faithfully loving wife of 30 years, Marjorie Corgey; 2 sons, Dean Corgey and wife Theresa and Eric Corgey and wife Kim; 2 daughters, Ellen Elmer and husband Sid and Terry Flores as well as their mother, Betty; 3 stepsons, Ray Usher Jr. Donald Usher, and Mike Usher; stepdaughter Chris Usher Gumley and husband Barry as well as 26 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, his treasured pet Junior and numerous other relatives and friends. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 11 from 6-9 pm and a funeral service will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, February 12 at Forest Park Lawndale.
