Charlene Marie Hightower

Life Begins... Charlene Marie Hightower was born November 14, 1928 in Humble, Texas to the proud parents of Charley and Millie Johnson. She attended Jack Yates High School, after her graduation she attended nursing school. She worked at Methodist Hospital as a nurse for over 10 years. She decided to work part time as a nurse so that she could become a homemaker and care for her family. Love Blossoms... Charlene met her soulmate, Jesse Hightower while attending church. Charlene and Jesse's love blossomed. They married on September 26, 1948, she was 19 years old. They resided in Spring, Texas where they had three boys and one daughter who passed at birth. (Jesse III,Cynthia-deceased,Perry and Ralph.) Things She Loved... The things she loved; her family, her church,cooking, sewing,crocheting and knitting and walking every morning in the neighborhood. Scripture Psalms 91. Family passed on... Charlene is proceeded in death by her father and mother(Charley and Millie Johnson) Her brothers,Charley Jr. Wilbert, Fred(Freddie), Ernest and Kenneth Johnson. Her sisters,Fannie Mae,Annie Lee, and Gladys King. Her special niece,Peggy Carpenter. Her Grandson,Christopher Hightower(Najawa) and great granddaughter,Nakayla Williams. Family left to mourn... Charlene leaves to mourn her passing, Her husband(Jesse Hightower Jr.) Her three sons, Jesse III(Fustina),Perry Hightower(Linda) and Ralph Hightower(Michelle). Her sisters,Mary Josephine Johnson(California)and Mildred Allen(Kileen,Texas) Seven grandchildren, Lakisha Parker(Nate),Perry Hightower Jr.(Shannon),Daniesha Hightower,Shelinta Perez(Nicholas),Jessica Hightower,Jennifer Hightower and Adrian Hightower. Thirteen great-grandchildren:Cydavia Hightower,Darius Brown,Chassidy Hightower,Chloe Hightower,Jeffery Foster,Kaylie Davis,Braydon Hightower,Aniyah Perez and one great granddaughter on the way. One great great grandchild: Darren lee along with a host of nieces and nephews,family and friends.
